Climb aboard our comfortable authentic outrigger canoe and let yourself be carried off on an incomparable adventure, exploring this fabulous island full of exquisite discoveries to delight your senses. Parka and Armando will share with you the island's history, it's sacred legends and the daily life of the locals. From the lagoon you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view of the island. For a moment you can feel like Robinson Crusoe, cast away on a tropical island between the lagoon and the open ocean, with the famous local dish: poisson cru--raw fish "cooked" in lime juice and soaked in coconut milk. You will have the opportunity to visit splendid underwater coral gardens, replete with flora and fauna. All the necessary snorkeling equipment will be provided from the outrigger ("pirogue"). During this tour of the island's lagoon you will certainly encounter one of the island water's most popular inhabitants: the black tipped shark. On a structure built especially for this purpose, Claude will give you a chance to observe the sharks while feeding. The return trip for this unforgettable day will skirt you along the mythical cliffs of Maroe Bay, of which legends abound, and you will hear some of the traditional stories that are told. |
